Generative AI disclosures

The Seat of Troubles

  • The short-film does not contain any assets created by generative artificial intelligence or similar technologies.

  • However, generative AI was / is being used during production for the following applications:

    • Large language and reasoning models, particularly OpenAI's GPT, are being used through all stages of production as a consultant to ask questions as one would type into Google (for example, "How do I cross-dissolve two clips together in Premiere Pro?", "Guide me through exporting my footage from After Effects in a way that is near-lossless," "How can I make sure my shots are exposed similarly when shooting a large scene using Dragonframe?", "How long should subtitles linger after the last word has been uttered?", et cetera). This is by far the biggest use of generative AI during the production of this short-film.

    • Because one voice-actor (Adi Chandra) is having to voice for many different roles due to budget constraints, audio models by ElevenLabs have been used to modify his recorded voice so as to make the different characters sound naturally dissimilar to each other. No other actor's voice has been modified in this way because, unlike Chandra, they all had their specific, unique roles/characters.

    • The tool(s) being used in Adobe Photoshop to isolate and select the subjects of images accurately is probably based on generative AI technology.

    • There are no other instances of usage of generative AI or similar technologies in the production of the short-film other than the ones detailed above.

A Thug's Ascension

  • The video game does not contain any assets created by generative artificial intelligence or similar technologies.

  • Generative AI was not used in any capacity during development, given that the video game was in development from 2018 to 2023, most of which was before the AI boom.
